Temenos's reported carbon emissions

Temenos, headquartered in Switzerland, is actively engaged in reducing its carbon footprint with a series of ambitious climate commitments. For the reporting year 2025, the company reported total global emissions of approximately 79.2 million kg CO2e. This includes Scope 1 emissions of about 562,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions from purchased electricity amounting to approximately 3.5 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions totalling roughly 75.1 million kg CO2e. Looking at previous years, in 2024, Temenos reported total global emissions of approximately 14.7 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at around 502,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 at approximately 3.97 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at about 10.2 million kg CO2e. In 2023, total emissions were approximately 61.9 million kg CO2e, comprising 517,000 kg CO2e for Scope 1, 4.27 million kg CO2e for Scope 2, and a substantial 57.1 million kg CO2e for Scope 3. Temenos has set a long-term target to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, using 2019 as its baseline year. This commitment is aligned with the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) methodology. Furthermore, Temenos aims for a significant reduction of 50% in its absolute Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions by 2030, also against the 2019 baseline. As part of their SBTi commitments, they also aim for a 55% reduction in Scope 3 GHG emissions per USD value added by 2030. Data indicates that for some scopes, the company is on track to meet its near-term targets, while for others, progress is not yet confirmed.
