For long-term goals, they are committed to reducing absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 90.0% by 2040 from a 2023 base year, with a corresponding 90.0% reduction in absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions. These targets align with a 1.5°C trajectory. Furthermore, UST has internal targets to reduce Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 25% by 2025 (from a 2020 baseline) and to achieve net-zero status by 2040 across all scopes.
