Vigie SA, a French company specialising in collected and purified water distribution services, reported its 2023 Scope 1 emissions as 4,273,410,000 kg CO2e and Scope 2 emissions (market-based) as 1,018,127,000 kg CO2e. The company's 2023 Scope 3 emissions totalled 1,426,194,000 kg CO2e, including 157,510,000 kg CO2e from investments, 6,946,000 kg CO2e from business travel, and 1,262,258,000 kg CO2e from purchased goods and services.

Vigie SA's climate commitments are inherited from its merged entity, Suez. These include Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) approved near-term and long-term targets. Suez commits to an absolute reduction of Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by 2030, from a 2019 base year. Additionally, Suez aims to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, fuel and energy related activities, and upstream and downstream transportation and distribution by 14% within the same timeframe. By 2026, Suez also commits that 25% of its suppliers, by emissions covering purchased goods and services and use of sold products, will have science-based targets. These Scope 1 and 2 targets are consistent with reductions required to limit global warming to 1.5°C.
