Capability Scotland

In 2021, the total emissions were also approximately 1.3 million kg CO2e, with Scope 1 emissions at about 1,061,000 kg CO2e, Scope 2 at approximately 307,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at roughly 24,000 kg CO2e.

Capability Scotland has identified missing data points for several Scope 3 categories, including purchased goods and services, business travel, and employee commute, indicating areas for potential future emissions accounting expansion.

The organisation has not provided specific reduction targets or commitments such as Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) aligned goals or participation in initiatives like the Climate Pledge. Its climate commitments are therefore primarily demonstrated through its annual emissions reporting and the ongoing effort to account for its carbon footprint across Scopes 1, 2, and 3.
