ASTM, an "Other business services" company headquartered in Italy, reported its latest emissions data for 2025, with Scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services at approximately 2.08 billion kg CO2e. For 2024, Scope 3 emissions from purchased goods and services were approximately 2.23 billion kg CO2e.

In 2023, ASTM disclosed a total of approximately 2.43 billion kg CO2e in emissions. This included approximately 72.91 million kg CO2e for Scope 1 emissions, approximately 9.15 million kg CO2e for market-based Scope 2 emissions, and approximately 2.35 billion kg CO2e for Scope 3 emissions. Key contributors to Scope 3 emissions in 2023 were purchased goods and services at approximately 2.23 billion kg CO2e, capital goods at approximately 52.99 million kg CO2e, and fuel and energy-related activities at approximately 29.19 million kg CO2e.

Looking back, in 2020, ASTM reported Scope 1 emissions of approximately 65.01 million kg CO2e and market-based Scope 2 emissions of approximately 65.72 million kg CO2e. For 2019, the company's Scope 1 emissions were approximately 43.18 million kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions were approximately 50.33 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions were approximately 778.82 million kg CO2e. In 2018, Scope 3 emissions were approximately 576.15 million kg CO2e.

ASTM has set several climate commitments. The company has a near-term Science-Based Target initiative (SBTi) target, cascaded from ASTM SpA, to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 54% by 2030, against a 2020 baseline. Additionally, the SBTi target includes a commitment to reduce absolute Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions from purchased goods and services by 11.1% by 2030, against a 2021 baseline. The company aims to achieve net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by the middle of this decade (2023-2025). Furthermore, ASTM has a goal to achieve net-zero Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2050. The Group also has an action plan to reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 80% by 2024, compared to 2019 levels.
