Kyndryl, a US-based computer and related services company, reported total greenhouse gas emissions of approximately 943.95 million kg CO2e in 2025. This includes Scope 1 emissions of about 37.83 million kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions of approximately 196.41 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions totalling around 709.71 million kg CO2e. In 2024, total emissions were higher at approximately 1.03 billion kg CO2e, with Scope 1 at about 33.89 million kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 at approximately 258.11 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 at around 740.21 million kg CO2e. For 2023, the company reported total emissions of roughly 1.16 billion kg CO2e, comprising Scope 1 emissions of approximately 37.32 million kg CO2e, market-based Scope 2 emissions of about 280.76 million kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of around 838.91 million kg CO2e.

Kyndryl has set ambitious climate commitments, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi). The company is committed to achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions across its value chain by fiscal year 2040.

Near-term targets include a 50% absolute reduction in Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by fiscal year 2030, using a fiscal year 2023 baseline. Within this, Kyndryl aims to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions by 75% and Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and services, capital goods, and fuel and energy-related activities by 36.5% within the same timeframe.

Long-term, Kyndryl is committed to a 90% absolute reduction in Scope 1, 2, and 3 GHG emissions by fiscal year 2040 from a fiscal year 2023 base year.

Kyndryl is also a signatory to The Climate Pledge, having signed in October 2024, reinforcing its commitment to decarbonisation. The targets for Kyndryl Holdings, Inc. covering Scope 1 and 2 emissions are consistent with keeping global warming to 1.5°C.
