Mips

Mips, headquartered in SE and operating in the Recreational, cultural and sporting services sector, reported approximately 4.94 million kg CO2e in total greenhouse gas emissions for 2025. This includes about 60,000 kg CO2e from Scope 2 (market-based) and approximately 4.88 million kg CO2e from Scope 3 emissions, notably from purchased goods and services (around 4.52 million kg CO2e).

For 2024, Mips' Scope 2 (market-based) emissions were approximately 2,000 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions were about 4.63 million kg CO2e. In 2023, Mips reported Scope 1 emissions of approximately 23,900 kg CO2e, Scope 2 (market-based) emissions of about 9,400 kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of approximately 4.29 million kg CO2e.

Mips has set a near-term target, approved through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to reduce its Scope 1 and Scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 42% by 2030, from a 2020 base year. Additionally, Mips aims to measure and reduce its Scope 3 emissions. The company also commits to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050 for Scope 3 emissions.

In terms of reduction efforts, Mips' goal is to reduce its total emissions by 42% by the end of 2030, using 2021 as the base year, while also aiming for a 12% reduction in emissions per sold product in 2023. Since 2021, Mips has reduced greenhouse gas emissions per solution sold by 43% by 2024. For 2024, Mips' target is to reduce emissions per solution sold by 8%. Mips also aims to reduce its operational emissions (Scope 1 and 2) by 50% by 2025, from a 2020 baseline.
