For 2025, the company reported total carbon emissions of approximately 1.38 billion kg CO2e, comprising 13.88 million kg CO2e for Scope 1, approximately 32.24 million kg CO2e for Scope 2 (market-based), and around 1.33 billion kg CO2e for Scope 3.

Atos is committed to a near-term goal of halving its overall carbon emissions by 2025, using 2019 as a baseline. This target has been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and covers Scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Furthermore, Atos has a long-term ambition to achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2039, with a commitment to reduce its emissions by 90% by this date, neutralising any residual emissions.

This represents a reduction from 2024, when total emissions were around 1.79 billion kg CO2e, and 2023, with total emissions at approximately 2.23 billion kg CO2e. In 2022, total emissions were reported as approximately 2.52 billion kg CO2e. Earlier reporting years also show significant emissions, with 2019 recording total emissions of approximately 3.30 billion kg CO2e.

Atos's climate commitments are aligned with the Paris Agreement, aiming to limit global warming to 1.5°C. The company is actively working to reduce its greenhouse gas footprint in its own operations and supply chain, as well as developing solutions and services to support its clients' decarbonisation ambitions.
