For the reporting year 2023, Hays PLC's total absolute emissions were approximately 58.9 billion kg CO2e. This breakdown includes Scope 1 emissions of roughly 5.4 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of approximately 4.9 billion kg CO2e (location-based), and Scope 3 emissions totalling about 49.5 billion kg CO2e.

Prior to this, for the reporting year 2022, Hays PLC's total absolute emissions were approximately 53.6 billion kg CO2e, comprising Scope 1 emissions of about 5.2 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of around 4.4 billion kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of approximately 44.0 billion kg CO2e.

In the reporting year 2021, Hays PLC reported total absolute emissions of approximately 74.2 billion kg CO2e. This includes Scope 1 emissions of roughly 3.2 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of approximately 3.8 billion kg CO2e, and Scope 3 emissions of about 41.0 billion kg CO2e.

For the reporting year 2020, Hays PLC reported total emissions of approximately 51.5 billion kg CO2e. This comprised Scope 1 emissions of about 5.6 billion kg CO2e, Scope 2 emissions of approximately 7.5 billion kg CO2e (location-based), and Scope 3 emissions totalling around 37.4 billion kg CO2e. This year is also used as the baseline for several of Hays' key reduction targets.
